These Chocolate Chip Pudding Cookies have been a favorite in my family for many years.

When I was a young mother I found a recipe on the back of the bag of chocolate chips that I had purchased with a coupon. I remember looking at the recipe and thinking, “who puts pudding in cookies”?

Cooking Directions

Preheat oven to 350°F

In a large bowl or stand mixer, mix together butter and sugars until creamed.

Add vanilla and eggs and mix well.

*Tip* When measuring the flour, spoon it into a measuring cup so it does not pack, resulting in overmeasuring.

In a small bowl sift the pudding, baking soda, and four together.

Slowly add to creamed mixture, mixing well.

Mix in chips and nuts.

Drop by rounded tablespoonfuls onto an ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.

The centers of the cookies will look slightly undercooked. They will firm up as they cool.

Remove cookies from the oven and let cool completely before moving to a plate.
