Welcome To The New Site

Hello everyone! 

This spring and summer are going to be full of changes for Daryl and I. We will not only be celebrating 21 years of marriage in July (been together longer), but we will also be celebrating our 7th anniversary here in Alaska, and we could not be happier. 

As some of you know, I started this blog in 2018 when the idea for Follow Alaska was born, a year after moving here. But, because a lot of things were left out, in limbo, or not there at all, it was hard to make sense of things at times. I think our Facebook page made more sense as far as a timeline of certain events than anywhere else. With that said, it's really easy for me to hide behind a camera and take photos, and pretend, even if for a moment, that I don't have any worries in the world. 

Well now, we are starting over, as you can tell, if you've been here for a while, and the blog has been wiped clean. (something else I never thought I would do) Sometimes you just have to wipe the slate clean, learn from mistakes, and grow where you've been planted. 

I'm currently working on a video project to tie our first seven years together, filling in all the gaps that I left out before. If I had it to do over again, I would have shared so much more, without fear of appearing dramatic. The truth is, I let fear control me. Hindsight is always 20/20 and I can see very clearly now that everything happened for a reason, and it brought us to where we are now.
